Precision Motion Control
Precision motion control is incorporated into many of our automation systems. Our machines perform micron and sub-micron precision alignments and attachments over a million times per day. Our systems are capable of part placements with mean alignments below 1 micron, using computationally extensive methods and combining machine vision and servo control. High precision stages, hexapods, robots, and other technologies are used to achieve high precision positioning.
We integrate lasers for many precise metrology and inspection applications. We solve challenging laser soldering, welding, cutting, and bar coding problems using a variety of state-of the-art lasers.
For high volume and/or high accuracy processes, machine vision can be the key to a successful tool. We are an experienced integrator of machine vision systems with dedicated vision engineers on staff.
With expertise in 3-axis, 4-axis and 6-axis robotics, we utilize advanced robotics in many automation systems. We integrate many brands and types of robots, including SCARA, flexpicker, wafer and industrial. We routinely design custom end effectors for robots that incorporate a camera with a gripper on a single effector, significantly improving the accuracy of the operations.
