Project Manager

We have an immediate need for a Project Manager who would be responsible for overall project management, from concept through client acceptance, installation and client follow-up.  The Project Manager will be responsible for:

  • Coordinate preparation of proposals and quotes.
  • Coordinate, monitor and control the development of specifications and requirements.
  • Develop project plans, individually and in a team environment, that meet or exceed client’s requirements and expectations.  Project plans will include Gantt chart and work breakdown structure.
  • Create and maintain project notebook.
  • Monitor and coordinate all aspects of the design process – mechanical layouts, details, assemblies, electrical controls, software development.
  • Develop, monitor and control project budget and schedule using Microsoft Project.
  • Conduct regularly scheduled project team meetings.
  • Initiate corrective actions as required to keep projects on task and provide project direction during problem resolution.
  • Interface with client during all project phases.
  • Establish and maintain an open issues and action item list (internally and between DWF and client).
  • Determine external resource requirements and manage those resources to meet project goals.
  • Review bills of materials prior to release.
  • Assist project team members in accomplishing tasks through hands-on activity.
  • Provide technical support and liaison with fabricated parts vendors.
  • Participate in the assembly and test process.
  • Manage communication with client during all phases of project.
  • This position is also responsible for support of new business development.
  • Provide project status reports to clients and management.
  • Provide ‘Voice of the Client’ input to company’s Management Team.
  • Support and participate in new business development activities.

Job Requirements:

  • General knowledge of engineering practices, including design for manufacturability, maintainability, reliability, safety and machine shop practices.
  • AutoCad Inventor experience is preferred.

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and proof of current vehicle insurance.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand conversational and technical English.
  • Physical capabilities include working at a personal computer workstation for long periods.
