History

DWFritz Automation, Inc. was founded in 1973 by Dennis Fritz, current CEO. Dennis’ early business was grounded in the lumber industry in the Pacific Northwest. DWFritz broke through into the electronics industry in the early 1990’s with a long-standing relationship with Hewlett-Packard. Soon thereafter, the company began hiring additional engineers and evolved into a design/build company versus a pure design consulting firm. The company grew quickly over the next fifteen years, building many systems for companies in industries demanding high technology. With a diverse and collaborative team, DWFritz has developed expertise in precision motion control, intelligent machine vision, and advanced robotics integration.

Today, DWFritz has grown its portfolio of clients and industries served, including many Fortune 500 clients in consumer electronics, semiconductor, infrastructure, medical device manufacturing, consumer products, and other durable goods/industrial products. The company has designed, built and shipped hundreds of machines to locations around the globe in North America, Europe, and Asia.
